The S&P Expansion team identifies high impact growth areas (products, services, geos) for Uber Freight to expand into, then after determining the most efficient GTM strategy, the team pilots, launches and scales these business opportunities. Shipper API pricing, LTL and Carrier wallet are examples of initiatives that were incubated, launched and scaled by the team.

Working Closely With Cross Functional Team Leaders (Sales, Account Management, Customer Support, Product, Data Science, Finance, Marketing, External Customers), You Will

  • Own competitive intelligence analyses and reporting
  • Develop market analyses and explore various go to market strategies for areas the team is exploring
  • Assist in piloting and scaling initiatives, in particular you would be responsible for building and owning dashboards, as well as tracking day to day progress from the team against specific goals, optimizing sales and operational processes, owning weekly team syncs and reporting to Uber Freight leadership.

We are looking for a Strategy & Planning Senior Associate with some serious operational resourcefulness: someone who isn’t afraid to jump into the front lines to determine the business and operational problems, and has the analytical skills to find or build a better solution; someone who is passionate about driving impact by redefining data and empowering the team; someone who understands and speaks operations and data equally well.

With your well developed eye for business and positive relationships across teams, you are encouraged to bring sophisticated insights to the table, constantly pushing our thinking to be creative and fresh, yet with appropriate levels of risk.

  • Basic Qualifications –—
  • BS
  • 3+ years of proven experience
  • Project and change management experience.
  • Sophisticated Excel (Google sheet) modeling, and some understanding of SQL
  • Preferred Qualifications –—
  • Background in VC, finance, strategy, consulting, investment banking or similar analytical roles.
  • Some business acumen as well as critical problem solving skills.
  • Ability to build strong cross functional relationships.
  • Team leadership and development experience.
  • MBA
  • VC or Entrepreneurial experience
  • Tech logistics experience
