Julia Richman Educational Complex is hiring a school psychologist for 2022-2023 to serve on our School Based Support Team. The psychologist serves all six schools in the building. 

Qualifications

•Masters Degree or above in School Psychology is required

•Excellent oral and written communication skills

•Strong collaborative skills and a passion for working with a community of educators

•Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all school constituents, including students, families, administrators, faculty, support staff and alumni

•Proficiency with Google Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, Forms Slides, etc.); Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and common software applications

•Ability to learn and use a school database system

•All employees must be up to date with their COVID-19 vaccination series, including current and future booster doses recommended by public health officials

•Prepare for, participate in and lead SBST/IEP Reviews/ triennials and help with impartial hearings

 Assessing students’ progress and ensuring proper and timely records are maintained 

•Collaborating with faculty and administrators to support student needs

•Meeting regularly with Special Education teams of JREC schools

•Communicate with parents and guardians 

•This may occur face-to-face in meetings, or via email, written notes, or phone calls

•Complete and submit recommendations, evaluations, and other requests for information about students

•Plan for and participate in parent-teacher conferences

•This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines
