The Role

This individual will work be part of the Enterprise COE with a focus to strategically enable our institutional business by embedding with them. In this role you will define, develop, and implement reusable and scalable AI-based solutions that enable key strategic institutional business goals. You will interact with diverse stakeholders ranging from product managers, client sales and relationship mangers, key clients and other data science and software engineering teams, The successful candidate will be capable of supporting projects across many areas with the highest degree of quality.

The selected candidate must be a self-starter, confident in a fast-paced, frequently ambiguous environment, implementing emerging AI-related solutions that place our business at a competitive advantage. You will have a demonstrated track record of success building scalable models/services from a research to production context while operating in an agile fast paced environment.

The Expertise And Skills You Bring

  • MS/PhD in Computer Science with experience in Machine Learning or similar technical subject area (Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics) with several years of relevant professional experience.
  • 5–7+ years of work experience with preferably 4+ years of Python experience. Bonus for those with experience with other OO languages (C, C++, Java, Rust, etc.)
  • Thorough understanding of both basic machine learning (linear models, RF, Gradient Boosting algorithms, etc.) and deep learning algorithms (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers, Autoencoders, GANs, etc.)
  • Should have Deep experience with solving structured data driven classification and regression problems, Anomaly Detection, with some experience in Time Series Models and Causal Inference
  • Knowledge of 3-4 of the following quantitative fields are preferred: Reinforcement Learning, Recommendation Systems, Natural Language Processing, Image Processing (CV), Question Answering/Conversational AI, Knowledge Graphs
  • Experience in projects involving large scale, sophisticated business infrastructure, and multi-functional teams. Three to five successfully launched ML projects would be ideal.
  • Experience in working in cloud-based environments like AWS and MS azure
  • Knowledge of Deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX etc.
  • Experience in CI/CD and MLops including containerization (Docker, etc.), pipelines (Luigi, Airflow, etc.), orchestration (Kubernetes, etc.), GPUs/TPUs, REST inference endpoints/model serving
