Yokogawa is seeking to hire a Network Administrator – Systems Engineer in Sugar Land, TX.

Job Summary: Under General Supervision the Network Administrator – Systems Engineer is responsible for all day-to-day tasks and operations in maintaining, monitoring, and enhancing YCA’s Network, Infrastructure and Security Posture and ensuring optimal performance, uptime and security measures. This position supports all end users across all company offices as well as users connecting from home or remote locations. They are responsible for any network connectivity issues involving the LAN or WAN and all network devices at each location. They will also interact with Servers and cloud-based systems for trouble shooting, upgrades and routine maintenance.

The Network Administrator will work closely with the Infrastructure and Security Regional Department Head to understand Global functional requirements from YHQ along with local functional requirements at YCA and will suggest enhancements and lead implementation activities along with their counterparts from YHQ as well as other regions and offshore teams as needed. They will collaborate very closely with global headquarters as well as other regions of the world to strengthen IT governance and continue to Implement a Zero Trust Security model to increase Yokogawa’s Resiliency both locally and globally.

Network Administrator Skills And Duties

  • Responsible for building and maintaining the day-to-day operation of computer networks that Yokogawa relies on. These networks include intranet, extranet, Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) Cloud Platform Management as well as Remote Access Appliances such as Cisco ASA devices that allow users to Work From Anywhere securely.
  • Provides maintenance of the LAN Wiring System, Routers, Gateways and Communications Equipment related to maintaining the integrity of the Operating System and Security across multiple locations.
  • Troubleshoot any issues concerning hardware, software, and Network connectivity
  • Ability to implement, administer and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices including firewalls, routers, switches, controllers, VPN appliances and Wireless Controllers and AP’s.
  • Management of Switch related equipment including Vendors such as HP and Cisco including experience with VLAN’s.
  • Configuration and Maintenance of wiring closets and Network topology.
  • Documentation of Network Infrastructure including change management procedures.
  • Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design, planning and troubleshooting of all Network related components.
  • Administration and hardening of Microsoft Active Directory
  • Support LAN connectivity for all regional offices, either remotely or on site as needed. Some travel to remote offices may be required to assist in upgrades, documentation, and resolution of reported problems or issues
  • Experience with Cisco and Meraki Wi-Fi Lan Controllers and Wireless Access Points
  • Ability to collaborate as needed Help Desk Team and NOC / SOC members to optimize solutions for end users.

System Engineer Skills And Duties

  • Familiar with Servers, Storage Appliances, and Virtualization Technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V
  • Advanced Knowledge of Windows Server, Azure, and Office 365
  • Cloud Experience with Microsoft Azure and possibly AWS
  • Strong Windows Server Management and some Linux experience
  • Ability to support a multi-site Windows Server Environment including best practices for server maintenance and patch management.
  • Experience with Supporting Video conferencing and Telecommunication Technologies such as Teams and Teams Telephony
  • Strong Knowledge of SCCM or other methods to deploy software and changes to end users as efficiently as possible
  • Familiar with Deploying Laptops and Desktops and Experience with setting standards and optimizing the process.
  • Experience with Group policy
  • Implements strategies for backup, restore and disaster recovery to ensure business continuity.
  • Helps Manage Printer Fleet and coordinate repairs or Connectivity with Vendors.
  • Provides support for users on software applications, installations, and specification.
  • Researches and recommends the selection of new hardware and software tools with ROI.
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management with Microsoft Endpoint Manager
  • Experience with System Monitoring Cameras.
  • Experience with Network Monitoring Solutions such as Solarwinds, ManageEngine, etc..

Security Related Skills And Duties

  • Responsible for implementing and monitoring Zero Trust security solutions for Yokogawa.
  • Possess incident-response skills, and a general understanding of computer forensics.
  • Implement security principles while following strict privacy policies.
  • Possess skills with security threats and other vulnerabilities.
  • Read More…Coordinate update initiatives to existing security technologies such as Palo Alto and Azure Firewalls to ensure optimal threat mitigation.
  • Document security breaches and complete Incident response tasks along with Global SOC Team.
  • Must know how to effectively operate company infrastructure such as Palo Alto firewalls Configuring and setting up firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
  • Assist in Configuring and analyze security tools and software.
  • Experience with Microsoft ATP, Microsoft Defender and Other related security tools.
  • Coordinate with Global Security Operation Center to minimize disruptions and protect assets.
  • Test new or upgraded hardware and software and implement new technologies.
  • Create test plans which will allow for a proper evaluation of security issues.
  • Perform Phishing Campaigns, Analysis and education to end users

Education

Specifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related Field

Prior Experience

  • 5-10 years experience working in IT managing Network Infrastructure, Appliances, Switches, Routers, Servers and Cloud Based Infrastructure as well as experience with Security related tools and software.

Prior work Experience in a similar role supporting at least 400+ users is mandatory and industry security certifications could be helpful.
