The Network Strategy and Operations team has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Engineer. In this role you will partner with others to lead the automation strategy for Enterprise Holdings’ network and connectivity solutions. Specifically, you will work on our departmental strategy while also working across IT to collaborate on approaches, standards and trends within the automation space. You’ll also work within the department on specific automation delivery efforts to bring them into reality. This is a unique opportunity for the right person to make significant contributions that will further EHI’s technology ecosystem as we evolve our solutions to meet the needs of the business.

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • The Lead Engineer position requires 8 or more years of related experience
  • Experienced in mentoring and coaching team members at an organizational level
  • 5+ years experience with Ansible/Chef/Terraform or another similar infrastructure-as-code automation platform
  • 3+ years experience with AWS and/or Azure
  • Proficient in one or more scripting or markup languages (i.e. TCL, APL, PowerShell, Python, JSON/XML etc.)
  • Advocate for following industry best practices related to code management, collaboration and deployment
  • A proven track record of evaluating, recommending, and implementing new solutions
  • An appreciation of building secure, scalable infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of web and API application architectures and their supporting infrastructures
  • Experience working across multiple technology domains to develop standards
  • Capable of leading a team on large, technically complex projects
  • Experienced in mentoring and coaching team members at an organizational level
  • Ability to work alone or in groups, managing multiple projects and finding solutions to keeping projects on track
  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • Experience with a variety of network architectures and network security solutions
