Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Field Service Engineer who will travel to customer locations to install, maintain, and support Packsize equipment as well as build and maintain customer relationships by effectively servicing the equipment. This individual will work closely with supporting team members to provide great customer service by addressing all service needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • 100% travel to remote customer locations
  • Complete Packsize Training:
    • Knowledge of Packaging Designs
    • Learn technical skills necessary to perform high quality maintenance
    • Installation of new equipment and training customer personnel
    • Basic administration duties (assigned tasks, emails, expense statements, travel arrangements, etc.)
  • Exposed to moving parts and electricity that require safety protocols
  • Excellent work ethic and time management skills
  • Must be accessible via telephone, and promptly return email and phone messages
  • Travel by vehicle or airplane within assigned geography, overnight travel may be required
  • Periodic overnight on-call and on-site support

Experience and Education Required:

  • Associate degree or Vocational technical training is strongly desired, Bachelor’s in related area preferred
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Basic Excel, Word skills, knowledge of Google suite helpful
  • Knowledge of Windows platforms
  • Knowledge of hand tools
  • Knowledge of mechanical platforms
  • Troubleshooting skills to resolve equipment issues utilizing drawings and technical documentation
  • Able to work independently with little or no direct supervision
  • Effectively communicate through written and verbal reports to customer and direct supervisor

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Able and willing to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to walk, climb ladder, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist
  • Clean driving record with a valid driver’s license
