Your Responsibilities Will Include
As a Clinical Pharmacist at Children’s Health, you’ll contribute to making life better for children by collaborating with the rest of the healthcare team to develop and optimize outpatient medication therapy.
Assessing the effectiveness, safety, and affordability of patient medication orders.
Consult with patients and their guardians regarding medication administration, side effects, and other issues.
Monitoring patient profiles for drug interactions, food-drug interactions, and duplication of therapy.
Experience
Preferred: At least one year of experience outpatient/retail experience at a hospital.
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Required: Complete 20-hour ACPE-accredited IV certification within 90 days of hire date
Preferred: Doctorate of pharmacy and completion of a pediatric clinical pharmacy residency, or equivalent experience
Licenses and certifications
Required: Current Texas pharmacist license
Required: Complete the American Heart Association’s Basic Life Support course within 90 days of hire
Preferred: Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification
