Role Overview

Advertising is undergoing sweeping change. And at Marketing Architects, our all-inclusive approach to TV is transforming businesses and doubling growth rates. This is your opportunity to lead the evolution of the service infrastructure toward new and changing ways in which people engage with video. This is not a “go it alone” sales role.

You will work hand-in-hand as a part of a group to uncover opportunities to drive sales and help brands grow. You’ll partner with a team of experts and facilitate a team closely involving multiple stakeholders on both sides of the relationship.

As a Business Development Director, you’ll be on the front lines of merging the powerful impacts of performance and brand marketing as we selectively build out our strong list of national clients.

Successful Candidates Must Demonstrate The Following

World-Class Sales

  • Top-notch communication skills (both written and verbal) and a recognition and appreciation for the power of storytelling.
  • A working knowledge of The Challenger Sales principles and how to apply them.
  • Portray active listening skills, and the ability to lead with commercial insights suited specifically for individual prospects.
  • Comfortable facilitating a consultative sale including a sophisticated sales cycle involving multiple decision-makers.
  • The ability to connect the logical and psychological sales patterns to drive key decisions through an insight-driven approach.

Business Savvy

  • Experience in advertising and/or the television/video industry is required.
  • Must possess a strong sense of business acumen and the ability to comfortably communicate across a broad range of business models.
  • A working knowledge of a wide range of business models, P&L Modeling, and the ability to learn and assess a business model in real-time.

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain incredible organization within a fast-paced and sometimes chaotic schedule.
  • Demonstrate impeccable time management skills with a knack for moving from project to project based on shifting priorities.
  • Comfortable working with multiple technology platforms including CRMs, 3rd party research tools and project management platforms.

Still interested? By using a strategic selling approach, you’ll be given the opportunity to:

  • Work hand-in-hand with our Business Development and Marketing teams to effectively engage prequalified prospects and customize meaningful communication to land introductory meetings.
  • Develop and present commercial insights to challenge prospects’ traditional thinking, and lead them to a path of new opportunity.
  • Serve as the internal sponsor for new prospect opportunities, as each new client truly is a financial investment, to our leadership team and layout a sound recommendation as to why they’d make a great client.
  • Land and facilitate team pitches attended by key stakeholders (3-5 people) on behalf of prospect, and coordinate delivery of our customized solution through our pitch process.
  • Gain access and build rapport with both mobilizers and key decision-makers to establish inroads to initiate multi-million-dollar TV campaigns.
  • Seamlessly handoff new client wins to our Client Growth team, as you maintain your focus on the front end to land and convert new clients to our All-Inclusive platform.
