  • Description:* We are partnering with a well-known e-commerce company to hire multiple entry-level traveling Assistant Project Managers/Support Specialists for their team. This individual will lead a team of support personnel and coordinate the resources required to launch new and complex projects with the goals of achieving timelines, staying within budget, and driving standardization within our network. This role will manage small to medium capital projects greater than $1M up to $50M with aggressive schedule commitments. The Assistant Project Manager will lead and coordinate and schedule multiple vendors at the same time. This individual will interface at all levels of the organization.
  • Key Responsibilities:*
  • Earn Trust operations customers through clear and timely communication, gathering of feedback, and driving all action items to completion
  • Take end-to-end ownership of everything within your grasp or scope of influence
  • Assess, escalate, and eliminate project risks to safely deliver projects on-time, under budget, and within all design standards
  • Follow project specific action plans maintaining and ensuring the quality of all project tasks
  • Escalate and identify opportunities for new standard work and mechanisms to close gaps where guidance in action plans is unclear or incomplete
  • Deploy for days and up to several weeks to various geographies within North America in order to launch the most innovative delivery solutions in the world.
  • Travel requirement is up to 75%
  • Create and implement improvements to our transportation network that deliver flexible and efficient products on behalf of our customers
  • Manage on-site deployment of third party logistics vendors, managing daily workflow, budgets, inventory control and quality assurance for equipment deployment
  • Lead meetings including Senior Leaders from up to 30 cross functional teams
  • Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs
  • Required Qualifications:*
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2+ years experience leading and interacting with cross-functional teams
  • 2+ years experience developing and managing project budgets
  • 2+ years of experience in project management and implementation
  • 2+ years experience in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Project and Outlook
  • Preferred Qualifications:*
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Superior communication skills, including the proven ability to effectively manage, influence, negotiate, and communicate with external business partners and internal teams to meet organizational capacity needs
  • 5+ years of experience in project management and implementation with proven ability to design workable solutions and drive projects to successful
  • PMP Certification
  • Experience Level:* Entry Level
